How do I get the most extended life out of my candle? Proper candle care is the key to getting the most out of your candle! Start trimming your candle wick 1/4” before lighting to ensure a clean and even burn. Then, make sure to let the wax pool melt entirely to the edge of the jar with every burn. This helps prevent tunnelling. Keep burn time to 4 hours to avoid wick popping and immense flames. Extinguish your flame with a candle snuffer minimise soot on the jar and debris in the wax If you have a candle with a lid, keep it between burns or when stored away to keep the wax free of dust & keep the scent fresh! With these tips, your candle will burn longer, look cleaner, and give off the most scent!

Candle tunnelling is when a candle burns down the center, leaving a rim of hard wax that doesn't melt around the edge of the jar. Candles have a “wax memory.” If you blow it out too soon after lighting it the first time, the candle will continue this burning pattern. This can cause the wick to burn incorrectly, too. To avoid candle tunnelling, let the candle wax fully pool to the edge of the jar the first time and every other time you bur it. Depending on your Cesar & Cruz candle size, this can take up to 2.5 hours.

To maintain the quality of your candles, store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This will help preserve the scent and prevent the wax from softening.
